Building maps that care about you is a simple concept. Build your own narratives of space beyond monopolized business advertisements and one-sided reviews—while accomplishing your goals and contributing to your community.

Navigation Market Share %

Unlike traditional apps like Google Maps and Waze that prioritize speed and efficiency, and Apple Maps out of convenience, Behāv introduces a paradigm shift by offering human-centered navigation—where routes are guided not just by traffic, but by how shared places impact your mental, emotional, and physical well-being, and how places and people align with your personal needs/goals.

FAQs

Why don’t I just use Google, Waze, or Apple Maps instead? they’re Free.

You are free to do that! I am biased and personally think those technologies are archaic forms of defining/explaining space and navigation and neglect to contextualize your space with live social health data and helpful public health data.

Existing navigation services prioritize a grading review system, but behaviors and experiences are non-linear so should places be defined by 5-star reviews or overall quality-of-life metrics?

Existing maps monopolize the market and control your worldview in other applications you might not even think about like banking, food delivery, B2B logistics, real estate, and more.

The goal of Behāv is to help you be less reliant on one solitary spatial narrative, and instead cultivate independent emotional-health-based geographic literacy. What is the price of that choice?

Transparent pricing

Pricing for Behāv is initially priced low due to current economic times as well as the growing price of server space to store everyone’s data and use all the API features such as: the map itself, navigation, AI analysis of space, weather etc. Any new updates in price will be made public before charging users bank statements.

Why do I pay for a map? Aren’t maps free?

Yes, traditionally maps are free to users, mainly due to private business partnerships and advertisements. The goal of Behāv is to paradigm shift what navigation and map space could be, which means we need to find non-traditional payment models to help everyone create their spaces beyond constantly borrowing the non-contextualized 5-star business review model. Purchasing your own map gallery space contributes to the global initiative to allow everyone to maintain independent maps for present and future generations.

real-time emotional weather mapping and systemic well-being.

I created the Dynamic Emotional Landscape (DEL) to help you understand emotions and activities associated with architecture and place in real-time to help you make more reflective decisions on where to spend your time most intentionally. Be productive. Be leisurely. Be aroused. Just be yourself and find spaces that help you become better. Hopefully, everyone will see how much space and behavior we share in common when browsing the map :)

Is this political?

Yes, it can be. A map is a shared space of dynamic values, world views, and history, both contrasting and concentric to certain parties, so political topics will arise on the platform but the goal is to understand perspectives more than allow one political party to dominate space and order. Behāv was created to begin conversations and demystify controversies because everyone deserves a voice. Every time you add something to the map, consider it voting for personal or shared initiatives, just like paying for things is associated with positive reinforcement of that particular brand or product. If you represent a certain political party, feel free to contact us to help you gather quasi-quantitative/qualitative data to help you identify injustices or implement interventions to improve your communities.

Do i have to donate to the public map?

No, you don’t. Adding personal info and map data to the public shared map is a completely optional civic good that many do to improve the collective community experience. You can have your own private map throughout the entirety of your experience, but you will also have access to public information other people contribute, so things will be very one-sided if you choose to use your space that way. The choice is yours.

Did you make this for fame and fortune?

Not entirely. I would like to make money and be known for creating something that changed human history for the better, but I also want to create something that Black Mirror or Westworld would be proud of i.e tech that takes the world, shakes it, and challenges current norms and habits, making people reflect, listen, and learn.

Photography / Art direction

All photography for Maps That Care Sæson 1 was taken by the founder, me- Ben, (from my personal archives while creating Behāv) and inspired by the 40/60 relationship between self and space, the duality of micro/macroscopic emotional connections of shared and divergent space. Some art has been featured in BLESSED Fragile Magazine, an editorial exploring evolving definitions of vulnerability: “beautifully burdened, thankfully unique”.
